I've noticed you listen to Trilok Gurtu. Some time ago Trilok Gurtu performed on Nguyen Le's Tales from Viet-Nam. I consider it a classic album in jazz fusion/world music genre and therefore dedicated a comprehensive review of the album. You can read it by clicking below. There's a translation tool in the top right corner. Finally, if you like the review you may also click "lubię to" button to like my website (on the right handside of the page). http://www.laboratoriummuzycznychfuzji.com/2013/03/recenzje-klasyka-tales-from-viet-nam.html

Liked your point regarding the authenticity of Daniel Masson's 'Baul Dimensions' and "Bangla Soul"...Most of us 'Westerners' Wouldn't know the difference. Do you follow Al-Pha-X at all? I am just curious about what you think of his work. Since you clearly know your genre can you suggest any other tracks? I would like to check them out. I am a huge fan of Talvin Singh just as a start.

"In answer to your comment on Ott's "Rogue Bagel" last month: The song is primarily in Hindi and Punjabi. It also contains vocals used in Hindustani classical music that are words (or word-like sounds) but not in any language. They are meant to create a mood, rather than a meaning . . . one could say it is an ancient form of post-rock :P" I thank you from that. ; )

vajrapaani ... thanks for the note on my shoutout page regarding the Suns of Arqa tune "Basant Dhruad'. ... . I just re-listened to the song -- perhaps my use of 'rambling' wasn't the best choice of adjectives.. I agree with you completely though - it is a beautifully poetic song, not to mention the addicting bass and rhythm.
