i've been pretty much letting winamp spin thru randomly playing songs and rediscovering all kinds of gems i'd nearly forgotten i owned and it's made me all warm and gooey for more music that i either still need to rip from my vinyl collection or go out and buy or whatever.

but point is it's made me damp for about a billion MORE records. there is not time enough in life to pay proper attention to music. i want to have more sets of ears, more ability to listen to verdi and gershwin and cab calloway and miles davis and charlie parker and thelonius monkTsaichovsky and mozart and bach and beethoven and robert gordon and little richard and gene vincent and robert johnson and big momma thornton and slade and chuck berry and james brown and nina simone and art blakey and p.i.l. and n.w.a. and schooly d and p j harvey and patti smith and ella fitzgerald …. and ….
