Yep, translating is ma thing! Although you can clearly see that sometimes I make shitty mistakes in english. I have to improve a lot. Learning russian makes me doubt about everything and even my friends say that I can't speak spanish properly and sometimes I sound foreign haha I used to study french in the high school. 6 years studying it, but I have almost forgot everything. I have never liked french :/ Finnish is in my near future, of course. Unfortunately there're no schools in my city where I could learn finnish, so I just try to do my best by my own :D

I'M SO SO SO SO HAPPY YOU LIKED PUHDISTUS. I thought I was kinda repetitive asking you all the time to watch it, but I truly was sure that you would like it. Puhdistus was the key that made me enter to the fantastic world of finnish cinema. There're really good stories as well made as Puhdistus in the land of the thousand lakes :D (I can recommend you some if you like to) THE LIGHTBULB SCENE IS ABSOLUTELY BRILLIANT. When I read that part in the book I really didn't know if it meant what it really meant, but in the movie I was just speechless. My heart stopped for a moment. Human tension at its best! Actually, to be honest, sometimes I just repeat "Hans Pekk on kuolu!" when I'm angry/upset/going to kick some asses in an online game. People freak out with that. The last words by Aliide are just the spirit of the movie.

Well I find 20€ for an album quite expensive. I understand your point, so don't worry. My "swedish/finnish" spotify will help me to calm down my nerves (let's hope) I tell you the same about the reviews. I remember myself totally excited for your Terra reviews last year :D About Vain elämää... I'm waiting for Jenni to cover PMMP's songs and Apulanta's ones. Let's see if she can leave me speechless as she usually does!

I'm actually studing Hispanic philology in uni and russian language in the official school of languages. I thought Hispanic philology would be boring because I'm more interested in other languages than spanish itself, but it's kinda surprising. I have subjects which study how we learn languages and the differences between all the languages around the world. I'm studying latin language too, and surprisingly the teacher told us that even FINNISH comes from latin :O Such a pity I'm not learning greek, because I love it too. My propose is to be a translator or teacher of spanish language abroad. So if you ever need some help from a hispanic philology student, just ask :)

Hej!! How's everything going in your part of Eden?? I'm great! Survived first week of university :D Still wanna go more, so that's good! You know what? I'm coming with good news again :) When I first heard about the re-edition of Terra I thought about the re-edition of Kun Valaistun. Normal album + 3 bonus songs. And now please, look: http://www.levykauppax.fi/artist/vartiainen_jenni/terra/#cd YEAS!! Can't can't wait for that day to come! By the way, yesterday I saw Vartiainen's last performance on Vain elämää! I would have never expected a samba from her, but it sounded COOL: http://www.nelonen.fi/ohjelmat/vain-elamaa/1725566-ennakko-jenni-vartiaisen-kohtalokas-samba-aloittaa-kauden-kuumilla-rytmeillaan

The guitars make me wanna dance! It's gonna be hard to not dance while walking through the street listening to Eden haha Wanna dance a bit, no matter where... I hope some of my other lovely finnish artists will surprise me too (Laura Närhi, this is for you) I was watching Jannika's video but I saw it was about lovely couples and I got bored haha Then I tried to watch it again and SURPRISE! "This video is blocked in your country" No finnish love for me, such a pity... haha I guess I'll end marrying my future music stuff, that's the single thing that seems to love me as much as I love it haha About Aliide, if I was her, I would totally kill those bastards without hesitation. I have no doubts about it. Just if I was her, of course haha I can hardly wait that review! :D Oh... friday is coming perjantai tulee eden eden eden eden JENNI TAKE ME TO EDEN (does Eden mean in finnish "paradise" too? I can't forget that day neither! That's my fave's singer birthday and it has been a special day for me for the last 5 years (I also started my russian classes on October, 4th four years ago :P) I'm always trying to read/find news in finnish to practice, so I usually check everyday my dear finnish singers' fb pages or I just scroll radiosuomipop's posts section :D I'm kinda excited about Vain elämää BUT finnish broadcasting and my connection aren't good friends :/ Anyway, I'll find a solution. October is going to be Jennish AND I LOVE THAT. IT'S OFFICIAL: https://www.facebook.com/jennivartiainenofficial/photos/a.277303639404.140400.181219984404/10152383515269405/?type=1

No more sad nights and I can start laughing at everything as I used to do!! I'm so so happy I'm beating my bad days, so I'm optimistic about future too! (university scares me a bit, just a bit, but well...) AND NOW JENNI GIVES US THIS! JENNI YOU MADE MA DAY GURL! Oh! I'm glad you are enjoying it! :D Don't forget to check out the movie too because if you liked the book, you'll like the movie as well :D Also I'm not forgetting about your recommendation, but I won't be able to buy it till winter/my birthday/Christmas haha

Believe me, I still can't believe that post. First I thought it was a joke so I translated it like more than twice in different translators. Then I searched on google and BOOM. It seems real. Also, I used to feel better with older people in my school time. I had to study at the High School and at the School of Languages so I spent my mornings with stupid kids and my afternoons with adults who respected me and everything. People always say that I'm more mature than I should, but my true friends know that I can have fun like a kid and be responsible too :D As I told you before, I've been depressed (really) for the last 2 years because I have some familiar problems and because of the famous spanish crisis. So I've always felt like I had to be more mature than I should be. I truly wish you luck with your new school and well, you may know, sometimes I like to be a bit psychologist too haha

I have just watched the Emma Gaala 2014. I understood more than I expected too haha BUT I'M DISAPPOINTED! JENNI DESERVED MORE! TERRA DESERVED MORE! Cheek sucks! haha About shyness, I couldn't speak in russian in front of other russian people. In my school of languages the teachers always forced me to do presentations in front of TONS of russian people and I always felt like I was about to die hahaha But with time and effort, now I don't feel like dying. Just fainting a bit haha I'm also weird because I just sometimes speak way loudly and laugh with all my heart haha Though I guess I'm lucky because I can choose wisely my friends. I don't have many, but good ones. I experienced choosing people and learning from them too, that's the best way to learn how to choose your friends.

Starting to open your mind is a hard process but in some ways you'll feel great when you'll find yourself doing things that you couldn't imagine (just because of your non open mind :P) Some time ago I used to be shy. Very shy. EXTREMELY SHY. I actually still am, but I try to beat my weakness and oh yeah! it feels great! Because of my shyness I was losing important things in my life, though I considered myself brave enough to do everything. But no. Some day I just changed my mind, opened it and saw the world in a way different! Now my curiosity wins over my shyness :D My face still becomes red sometimes BUT WELL hahaha

I used to think the same (thinking that you are open-minded, but no) about watching movies in original version haha "ugh english ugh I have to think and read... how about no?" But then I started with russian and finnish films and I understood that ORIGINAL VERSION IS THE THING. I don't even mind if the translation is not right, I need it to be original. Just to let you know, I watched a 30 minutes long documentary about Chisu in finnish. No subtitles. Did I understand anything? Of course yes! Some words like "bifidus", "hyvä", "kiitos" and so on haha But that's how I started with russian and now, after 5 years, I can keep a conversation in russian :D I kinda find funny to watch something I can't completely understand. It makes me think and imagine haha

About Murakami, I love how easy he explains everything. He creates a whole world from nothing and you can easily become a part of it. I like to read him after I read something "hard to understand". For example, last book I read was Milan Kundera's The Unbearable Lightness of Being. It is not as hard as it seems, but well, is philosophical, so after it I need something "easy" to read and relax. I also enjoy reading some russian classics and OF COURSE after them I need some time because most of them are hard as russian haha I may be exaggerating, but sometimes I just want to lay down and relax reading something I don't need to think a lot to understand it haha Oh, I also read some months ago Oscar Wilde's "The picture of Dorian Gray", excellent too :D

Reading a book in Abreuguese must be one of a kind experience haha I read it in spanish because I found it in spanish. Fortunately, more books from Oksanen are translated into spanish too!! Now I'm reading a long one from Haruki Murakami (I love his books) called The Wind-Up Bird Chronicle, also in spanish. I usually read in spanish because I like hard and difficult to understand books, so if I read them in another language I can't understand them completely (some of them are even hard to understand in your mother language) In my multilingual defense I'll say that this happens only with books, because I watch all kind of films in original version and subtitled in spanish/english. I'm such a film lover, so I have seen quite a lot finnish films and so on... Also, it's kinda hard to find non best sellers books in another languages apart from spanish... You may know that in Spain no one used to like languages (and that's way most of us don't speak any language apart from spanish :/)

I wouldn't say cruel. Puhdistus is a hard and realistic story about two women who discover their past. I love it because I could feel everything that Sofi wrote. It's a hard story, full of sad, depressive, strong moments. At first you may get confused because it jumps in time but the last pages will make you feel in a way that you can't expect. I highly recommend it as well as the movie (if you read the book YOU HAVE TO WATCH the movie. The acting is speechless). It's full of feelings, of human nature and history. I hope if you finally read it, you could enjoy it and give me a review :D

Then definitely I have to go to a Prisma someday haha I haven't experienced the beautiful moment of finding a CD that you love BUT! I have experienced that with movies and books. For example, as I said before, I usually go to some villages in summer. Last summer I went to my best friend's village and as usual we went to a book store (that's a kind of tradition, I ALWAYS buy books when I travel). So after some time there I couldn't find anything good enough for me AND SUDDENLY *time becomes slower* I see a pink book hiding from the rest. I took it, looked the description... "FINLAND'S BEST SELLER" "NO WAY!" -I screamed. "9'50€" "THIS IS MY ONNENPÄIVÄ". Of course I bought it and now is one of my favorites. Puhdistus, by Sofi Oksanen. The movie is kinda cool too and thanks to the movie I discovered Laura Birn, the reason why I started to see finnish movies as crazy haha

I'm glad that Paha poika seems to be the summer hit in Finland because I thought it was Erin's song Älä tule hyvä tyttö. I HATE ÄLÄ TULE HYVÄ TYTTÖ. Everytime it is played on SuomiPop I want to stop listening and die. I can't stand it. But Paha poika sounds way more listenable. Kinda guilty too, but catchy. Maybe I could listen to it more than once... Oh! Random fact, this morning I decided to arrange my room. So I look for SuomiPop radio, turn it on and... BOOM! VARTIAINEN SINGING IHMISTEN EDESSÄ. Well I went insane and started to throw things around. Some hours later, I was tired and sweaty (don't forget Spain's WARM) and BOOM! VARTIAINEN WITH EN HALUU KUOLLA TÄNÄ YÖNÄ. Well, by ice balls I meant hail (I have to improve my english) but here you can see what I meant: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tQxC2iN_NYM I do go often to real stores just to perform my famous show called "Why can't I find the records I would like to buy? Why finnish music is so underrated in Spain? Spain sucks. I hate everything. I hate you all. You don't know anything about good music, bastards." hahaha It's kinda frustrating because I love buying CDs and my friends too but by now, I own all the records I could/would like to buy here in my country. So when I go to some music stores I just walk around complaining about my "strange" musical taste while I see my friends buying tons of CDs... Yes, you may say that I can buy some finnish records on the internet but well, I made myself a promise that I'll buy them when I'll visit Finland. Though it's hard to wait, my economy sucks at this moment, so it helps me to relax and don't become crazy haha

Of course I did! And I also repeated after Jenni the words "Täällä hiljaista, hyvää" and felt unique. I was alone at night in a city far away from everything that worried me. It was magical! haha Weather has been kinda crazy here too. Some days ago we had the strongest ice storm ever. The ice balls were huge and they broke some windows and even TREES! And after that, a horrible storm started (and I was walking through the street). In some places water covered totally my feet. I can't complain about this summer because last summer was way hotter with weeks of 40ºC-44ºC. Weather has been always such a pain in the ass in my city so I'm very used to its crazy changes... Also, we have one of the strongest winds of all (in Spain). I kinda like my city haha Woah! That lighting bolt situation sounds incredible and amazing (and a bit horrifying too) but I'm glad you are okay! I have never seen anything like that but I can imagine it as something incredible.

I question myself too when I listen to something finnish. I did too with russian music, so I can't reply haha But I find finnish music kind of mystical and professional. Of course, not ALL kinds of finnish music, but I guess you got me haha Music is probably the main thing in my life. I can't spend a day without listening to some music and I always need to find something new, new emotions, new memories to keep with those songs. So I think we are similar in that way :D EVERYTIME I TAKE A SHOWER I LISTEN TO VEDENALAISTA. I DON'T KNOW WHY BUT THAT SONG IS WATER. Once I had the oportunity of taking a bath (I don't have a bathtub in my house :() and the first thing I did was turning up Vedenalaista with my phone and switching off the lights. SILLÄ JUNAT JA NAISET OVAT LUOTUJA KULKEMAAN! RADIO SUOMI POP KAIKKEA PARASTA! haha The whole library looked at me in those moments. So I can perfectly understand you! And yep, the best description for Huominen on huomenna is guilty pleasure. I can perfectly understand you about your feelings to Johanna because I FEEL EXACTLY THE SAME FOR CHISU. I mean, the first time I listened to her I knew she was the one. I didn't understand a single word from her songs but I knew that she was singing for me. Then when I found the translated lyrics I felt weird because FUCK YES SHE WAS SINGING TO ME. Everything that woman sings touches my heart and stays with me. It's hard to explain, but I guess we feel something similar :P

About Anna Abreu and Kaija Koo. WELL. I HAVE A WEIRD FEELING WITH ANNA ABREU (Caps lock for the win this time). I mean. I love/hate Huominen on huomenna. Let me tell you something, her spanish is not spanish. Neither portuguese. It's Abreupanish. I can't understand it but it sounds so funny and non sense haha That's why I love/hate her. I find some of her new album songs catchy like Ratatatatatatata or Kings and Queens, but it kinda sounds all the same. I must admit that one of my worst guilty pleasures is listening to her "spanish" songs hahahaha But that's a secret. About Kaija Koo, her Kuka sen opetta song is an absolute hit. Every time it sounds on the radio I need to dance and sing, though I don't know the lyrics (the result is quite interesting, spanish girl "singing" in "finnish"). From Jippu I just like two songs, Pimeä onni and Väärinpäin lentävät linnut (SUCH POWERFUL LYRICS I WANT TO SING AND BREAK EVERYTHING I NEED TO LISTEN TO IT WHILE RAINING) Piiloon sounds great too!

I just need some time to dig so much new stuff so I can fully appreciate it. I'm just that weird haha Same goes for Katri Ylander and so much more finnish artist that I discovered on the radio. For example, Mariska. Her Liekki just reminded me so bad to Chisu (Chisu is the mother of my finnish music likes) UNFORTUNATELY Jos mä kuolen nuorena sounds so Johanna Kurkela for me. So sweet. Though the music sounds good, the voice is just so sweet for me. The single sweet thing I can stand (for now) from Finland is Anna Puu. I repeat, I need my time (did I say that I'm weird?)

I love the way you explain your music preferences to me haha I do love it! I'm giving Suvi a chance. She doesn't sound bad, now I remember that I have listened to her on the radio. I stopped with my finnish for a while so I had to look for the lyrics that you told me about and yep, according to your story, Tyttö fits you perfectly except for the gender haha Tyhjässä Huoneessa's lyrics sounds strong! I love songs with strong lyrics. That's one of the things I love the most from Chisu (I can find myself in almost all her songs. Once I'll tell you about her just the way you do with your music haha ;)) I heard something from Nimetön too on the radio but I can't remember so well, I'll give them a second chance. About Finnish pop... well I've been looking for some new stuff, I mean stuff I didn't hear before. So I just listened to some SuomiPop radio and discovered some interesting songs. I have been listening to Samuli Putro, Jippu (their duet "Pimeä Onni" is priceless), JVG (first I hated them, now I love), Olavi Uusivirta, Rubik (an extinct band similar to Pariisin kevät (I LOVE PARIISIN KEVÄT)), Burning hearts (they are half swedish, I guess. Their music is more indie than pop), Anna Abreu's last album, Gimmel (g/old times of Jenni Vartiainen :P), Husky rescue (again more indie and chill than pop) and some metal and rock. What about you? Any recommendation? :)

You have all my support too! I personally know what is like to be suffering in an awful school/class because I have experienced that too. Now I'm 19, but I spent 6 years in the weirdest high school of my city. It was dangerous and weird. People threw chairs through the window to the street, stole bags from teachers and the doors of the girls bathroom were painted with blood. I was lucky I met some good people there, but there were assholes too (and that can be used for some teachers too). I could tell you tons of stories (some of them are even funny) about my school time. But well, after you have survived that you'll become stronger :) Anyway, if you ever feel like you need to talk about anything or you just need someone to talk with, count with me :)

You can ask everything you would like to know about me. I like open and honest people, so I am (I guess... :P) The single thing I'll tell you about weather is that last week we had 41ºC. I'm not complaining about it, I'm absolutely used to this hot weather haha (but I prefer winter, of course). This summer is the most boring and depressive ever in my life. I usually travel to some villages or just go to the countryside but this year I couldn't. As I've been already 2 years depressive, nothing is changing. At least not for good.
