just started riffing through my old cd collection yesterday, looking for something new to scrobble..and i'm really amazed at today's technology, i must be really backdated.
not so long ago i was already amazed when you play any properly-labelled mp3 on the Media Player the album cover appears, with options on the artist too. now i'm really stupefied as to how they can recognize old cds, with no conspicuous labelling whatsoever(as far as i can see), and bring out not only the cover but the track names as well! doesn't work with homemade compilation cds though, maybe that's slated for somewhere in the near future?
anyway i'm almost three-quarters done with the cds, so next week's charts should display the likes of metallica, iron maiden, megadeth, incubus, alice in chains, and some other stuff. i left out blink-182's emo album, and also slipknot's iowa(bad sounds/can't stomach hardcore music these days).
after the 1000 mark i decided to slow down on the scrobbling - each to his own, but personally i want to be able to listen to the tracks i scrobble, not just leave the pc on, set the player on loop, and go on vacation or something.
