Good grief.

How on earth to pick 10 albums from the preceeding 12 months? I thought last year was hard, but ffs!

1. Fleet Foxes - I think this has to be at number one. Just awesome.

2. Waited Up 'til It Was Light - Bouncy rocktacular albums are in much too short supply, thank you Birmingham's finest!

3. The '59 Sound - Just grabbed me by the throat from the first listen and refused to let go. Old school as fuck, but fabby.

4. Miles Benjamin Anthony Robinson - Contains my track of the year buriedfed… :D

5. All Hope Is Gone - It's funny to think that these guys are getting on a bit now. The sound on this album is (a touch) mellower, regardless it's still a great metal record.

6. We Started Nothing - Indie pop's album of the year and yes I'm looking at you MGMT…

7. For Emma, Forever Ago - Only picked up on this really as the year drew to a close and it's the perfect soundtrack to chilly winter nights. A beautiful, haunting record.

8. If - and I "wont take no for an answer you f*cking bitch!"

9. Evil Urges by My Morning Jacket

10. Stay Positive - <3

It was a kind of weird music year for me due to the sudden and violent demise of my laptop. Here's some stuff that I enjoyed thoroughly in 2008, although it may not necessarily have been released then…
