I'm pretty much in love with (most of) your overall top artists. Just thought you should know.

Yes, it's ridiculous. The U.S. government is just to proud to admit it was bested. Being of Latin American descent, I'm very interested in traveling to many South American countries. The embargo only makes Cuba more enticing. Have a great time!

How terribly exciting, it's very complicated for us here in the States to travel to Cuba. The whole embargo mess, makes it a troublesome affair. Have you been there before? Are you staying long? The Trwbador single is for the track "Safe" with the b-side "To the Bull." It seems like it will appear on their S/T... Yeah, it wouldn't take arduous effort to deduce there would be problems for Foxygen. The lead singer was quite volatile, not towards the audience but to his fellow bandmates. They didn't seem to be having much fun dealing with him... Well, I wish you safe travels. Have fun!

All the artists you mentioned at first, I've been listening to. (Seriously, considering buying a ticket to see Marnie Stern next month). I thought you might be right about being a little late about recommendations. It turns out I had not listened to any of the artists you mentioned at the end. I had heard of Concrete Knives but only in passing. Their album 'Be Your Own King' is really good, very Phoenix-like. Trwbador reminds me a little of Joanna Newsom. I bought their single since that's all that is available on iTunes, but I've been listening to their soundcloud page quite frequently. Only listened to Sweet Baboo a couple of times, liked what I've heard. Haven't gotten to Granville yet. Now I feel bad, I don't have any suggestions myself. I'm a terrible person!

Hi, how have you been? It's a shame you missed out on UMO. They sold out here too (I had my ticket, though). It was a very chill show, but they covered a Jay Retard track which really rocked. I was curious to ask you about Foxygen, oh well. Their performance here started very strong (and was quite entertaining) but it quickly lost it's bearing. I was puzzled as to whether it was real or an act. If it was at all real, they are not going to be around much longer. I read the frontman had issues at SXSW as well. Veronica falls were pretty great. They always are. I just wish the set was longer, and that they played more of the new album. It was pretty much half and half. They are really friendly folks. They stood at the merch table and conversed with all of the people there. Any good albums to recommend??

That's funny! We'll be going to the same shows a few days apart. We'll have to compare notes.

I do get sick, but hopefully by then I've moved on to other albums. Eventually, I'll return to them. The Haunted Man is very good. I've listened to it more times than stated. If the stats were correct there would be more than a couple hundred listens this past week. Although, I don't think I can listen to "Laura" anymore. It's a beautiful song but I think I've reached my limit (at least for the moment). The xx concert was fantastic! They are not big talkers, but great performers. At least, I think so. I was very entertained by Oliver's swaying. Very hypnotic!

Hey! I could have the same complaint! But you do seem to listen to more music than I do. I tend to stick to the same albums for a while. I'll try to be a better "friend" and look for new music.

That's exiting! Not that living here should be, but moving to a new country. I wish you the best of luck and many great shows!

Same story here! I'm hoping to catch some of the free shows the city offers, but I'm pretty sure I won't. I've rarely stumbled upon great albums (if ever). It's always people like you, whom seem to turn me on to them.

Hello, hope you're doing well. I did enjoy the St. Vincent concert! I was a little worried all my fears would come to fruition. She was quite stiff and mellow through the first few songs, but soon let loose. She was thrashing around the stage with her guitar. She's quite funny I never imagined it, but she had some great anecdotes. How was your experience?

Yeah, "Kim & Jessie" was the oldest of the songs they played when I saw them. They return in May and I tried to get tickets, alas they sold out pretty quickly. Have you seen St. Vincent before? I'm kind of curious about her performance. She seems so cool, that I'm afraid it might be lacking excitement. You will have to tell me all about it, so I know what to expect.

It was a sweaty show. I had never been to the venue they played at before, its pretty small. It was a very energetic show, I think my legs still ache. I had no idea he actually had a live band. It actually changed my perception on some of the songs. On the record they sound great but live they have so much more life. I think it might be the drums!

Thank you. I'm pretty excited for tonight. It's funny I live here in the states and never been to the West Coast. I pretty much stay here in the Midwest. I live in Chicago and don't feel like I miss on too much. Well, I wish you a safe trip back. Airports are nightmarish!

Right, the album is kind of short. I don't think it's that much longer than his other records. Wow, you're here in the States, is it your first time? It sucks that you missed him and will have to wait. I will hopefully be seeing him in a few days. Never seen him live, I'm hoping for an amazing show.

Hey, it's going well. How about you? I really love the new M83 album. It's a pretty epic album! It took me a long time to get into his music. 'Saturdays=Youth', took a few listens to totally appreciate its grandness. Even though 'Hurry Up, We're Dreaming' is a double record I think it's very welcoming to new listeners. It's a very easy listen. I even like the ballads on it. What are your impressions on it?

St Vincent was good last night, though I hadn't heard anything of hers before the gig so it was all new to me. Los Camp! were pretty good the other night and the new album is starting to get better BUT the last one was a grower and didn't take this long. Have you seen the announcement for Primavera next year? Jeff Mangum and Bjork so far. Do you fancy it??

You listen to so many great bands it was hard to think of something! Seriously, I can't get over it, haha. So I'll go out on a limb and say that Jordan O'Jordan and/or Clem Snide are folksy but wonderful. And you might also enjoy Misty's Big Adventure or Jesca Hoop. You've listened to everything else I can think of off the top of my head :P

Sorry about the delay. The Love Is All concert was romping. My body is still a little aching from all the bouncing. They are quite charming, funny, and very modest, which I love. I will definitely attend when they return.

I see you've been enjoying the antlers album too... I can't stop playing it, really. It's that and the Pains of Being Pure at Heart (the latter at the start of the night, the former at the end)
