That was very interesting! I absolutely love the thing she said about people pitting women against each other. It is very true. As a fan of many female musicians, I see this kind of stuff all the time, and I hate it. I expected Björk to not identify as a feminist. I always viewed her as a free spirit that didn't belong to anything. However, she has clear feminist ideals, which is good enough for me.

this is regarding your comment on 'Open Minded Music Freaks', if you are getting into jazz i would reccomend Bill Evans, Art Tatum, Grant Green, Miles Davis, John Coltrane for starters :)

Taste-o-meter says music from three continents, charts say nothing horrid / little meh, library says you've not heard hilarious freebie [track artist=SECRET SAUNA SIRENS]PAPER BUTTERFLY[/track] (I thought it had a slight aspie connection, via [artist]Sheldon Cooper[/artist] - However, it seems Fins call grandmothers 'moomie', not 'me-ma' %) - came on my radio as I was looking at your profile, hope you like.

So, like me you're a liberal feminist with asperger's syndrome. Do you know how much I adore you right now?

Hello Lucy, thanks for dropping by :-) How are you doing? Here's a small present to get our chat started: did you ever see your account picture/avatar at another user's page? e.g. look at kuohu's neighbour page - You've more like these, at least 2 other neighbours... Such pages might also help you find interesting, new music. And with the help of the assistant (aka artist recommender) you can assess these musical partners even better.

Right, I'm awake again, belatedly. Can you please tell me what Japanese bands are in your picspam? I can't recognise any of 'em, and I'm pretty sure none of them are Shiina Ringo or Luminous Orange...

Urgh, cabbage. I was right, it *does* sound near-unedible. Enid Coleslaw? That sounds like a character name Adam Cadre could've come up with... on a bad day, heheh. Well, uh, thing is, I'd love to stick around and babble on at random, but the prob is it's 1:35 AM over here and, too many energy drinks today aside, I have to go to bed. I have this weird thing where I can't ever stay up past 2 AM, max. And I always end up waking up around 10-ish, because my body has this ridiculous obsession with getting at least 8 hours of sleep. So, yeah. Gotta run. Have a nice day! :D (incidentally, Sleep are a good stoner metal band.)

Connecticut? Holy cow, talk about a coincidence! A great friend of mine I met on last.fm/TV Tropes is also a Connecti...cutian? Is that the right word? I sure hope so! Some US states have some really weird terms for residents (Utahn? Seriously?) Kinda funny though, I realised most of the people I know and occasionally talk to from the USA tend to be from the East Coast. ... can you please tell me what coleslaw is though? I saw that on a restaurant's menu on the way back home today, and I thought the name didn't sound very appetising. :)

Which I never heard of... it's odd, I swear that glasses guy resembles Lou Barlow. :) On the other hand... Curve, PJ Harvey(...right?! RIGHT?!), Kate Bush, Elastica(?), The Smiths, Goldfrapp, Lush... and a bunch of Japanese musicians not named Yoko Kanno & the Seatbelts, X Japan, Shiina Ringo, Shonen Knife or Luminous Orange. Seems to be a pretty good overlap between what we listen to, eh? :) Tho' you seem to be less OMGSHOEGAZING than me... Anycase, nice to meet ya! Which part of the USA are you from?

But the pic above The Smiths has a guy who looks like Lou Barlow... maybe it's Sebadoh?
