I grew up in a small town in Massachusetts right next the US's famed Halloween town, Salem. In Salem there was a small place called the Elk's club where many local artists would play, some bands even made it all the way to the big time (including Unearth and Hopesfall, who actually played in the same show together). Our New Year played here on many occasions, and many of which I went to go see myself. From their raspy vocals, to their melodic breakdowns, these guys hold a special place in my heart. I'm not sure what it is, but reminding me of those good ol' days jumping around as a teenager in the small mosh pits surrounded by black clothing and army fatigue, and their unique styling just keeps me coming back for more.

Does anyone have any fond memories like this?
