Oh no, it's not gone; it's right there, neatly in magnetic arrays sitting in a drawer. Problem is, to translate that information to a device which will be usable will run around $800. I've already started building a collection again, and this time I'm keeping it organized from the start. Got a 2TB drive, enough to store all the music I'll ever hear in my life, but it's internal. However, I still have a smaller portable storage device that I can load everything I have presently (almost all of it is jazz), and I could sent it to you and you could erase it and put what you have on it and send it back.
