Phil Selway is growing up. Now Philip, Mr. Selway, best known as the drummer of alternative rock behemoth Radiohead, is the latest member of the band to venture into solo musicianship. His album Familial is to be released on 30th August and as a taster, the opening track of the album has been made available as a free download. You can download it for your own listening pleasure from his website.

Its a gentle, acoustic number and although I feel this particular track isn't anything remarkable, there are hints that the album could contain something special. It'll be interesting to see how the rest of the album pans out. Besides, I already own the solo efforts of Thom Yorke and Johnny Greenwood so it would be rude not to get Phil's.
