UMMMMM Music Meme duh.

stolen from Mat Sherman on fb.

1. How did you get into 29?
TIE
The Faint - This may or may not be a reaccuring theme but…BOBBY…I think?
Armor for Sleep - I honestly have no idea.

2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22?
Daft Punk - Probably 'Harder, Better, Faster, Stronger' since that's the most popular.

3. What’s your favorite lyric by 33?
The Format - Hmmm, that's a tough one.

Probably from 'Wait, Wait, Wait' on Interventions and Lullabies:

"and these chords remain
we'll use them to exploit the
friends we've since forgot
those friends we've lost
you all know just who you are"

4. What is your favorite album by 49?
matt pond PA - Umm…I don't really have one because I don't listen to them all that often. That's on my list probably because I listened to them hardcore when they were coming to Tech with Mae and all them.

5. How many albums by 13 do you own?
The Academy Is... - physical? None. On the computer? All of them :).

6. What is your favorite song by 50?
Air - 'Don't Be Light'.

7. Is there a song by 39 that makes you sad?
Regina Spektor - UM YES. 'Samson'. I've literally listened to that song like five times in a row before and about a hundred times in my lifetime.

8. What is your favorite album by 15?
Sherwood - A Different Light - it's so catchy.

9. What is your favorite song by 5?
The Academy Is... - TIE - 'Attention' or 'Phrase that Pays' or 'Neighbors'.

10. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy?
Panic at the Disco - lately? 'Nine in the Afternoon'. Reminds me of summer.

11. What is your favorite album by 40?
The Flaming Lips - The Soft Bulletin.

12. What is your favorite song by 10?
The Decemberists - '16 Military Wives', 'O Valencia', or 'Eli the Barrow Boy'.

13. What is a good memory you have involving 30?
TIE
The Faint - the song 'Sex is Personal' reminds me of hanging out with Bobby freshman year in the dormssss.
Armor for Sleep - introducing someone to this band but I forget who…ughhh.

14. What is your favorite song by 38?
Feist - THIS IS HARD. 'L'amour Ne Dure Pas Toujours' for the awesomeness of the beat, not for the preteniousness of liking a french song by an English singer.

15. Is there a song by 19 that makes you happy?
As Tall As Lions - 'Love, Love, Love' because it's so entirely epic.

16. How many times have you seen 25 live?
Spitalfield - NONE BUT I WISH. Can we say high energy?

17. What is the first song you ever heard by 23?
Panic! At the Disco - Easily their single 'I Write Sins not Tragedies'. After their second CD, it's any wonder I actually got into them because the first CD sucks A LOT compared to the second.

18. What is your favorite album by 11?
The New Pornographers - I'm gonna go ahead and be pretenious and say their older stuff is better with Mass Romantic. Actually, I'm going to rephrase. They stayed the same. They did not mature because they were kinda perfect from the beginning. Fucking epic backgrounds with awesome lyrics. Not much to fix so it just became more of the same stuff but I'M OK WITH THAT!

19. Who is a favorite member of 1?
Stars - Don't even have to look at the list. AMY AMY AMY AMY. She's so wonderful with her awkward hand movements and being drunk on stage!

20. Have you ever seen 14 live?
Imogen Heap - Nope and I honestly don't think it would be any good. Don't know what she would do on stage really.

21. What is a good memory involving 27?
The Starting Line - high school listening to 'Best of Me' and finding lyrics that would suit my current boyfriend (Hayden) at the time and I's relationship. God I was so emotional at that time in my life. I still love that song though.

22. What is your favorite song by 16?
Fall Out Boy - 'Where is Your Boy Tonight?' - It's so disgustingly simple but I DON'T CARE SHOVE IT.

23. What is the first song you ever heard by 47?
Damien Rice - 'Blower's Daughter'. I'm surprised this isn't high to be honest. I'm addicted to that song, it's my current text message alert sound on my phone!

24. What is your favorite album by 18?
Copeland - In Motion because it has 'Pin Your Wings Back' and 'Love is a Fast Song'.

25. What is your favorite song by 21?
hellogoodbye - 'Here in Your Arms' or 'Touchdown Turnaround'.

26. What is the first song you ever heard by 26?
Eisley - First song I remember recognizing? 'Laughing City'.

27. What is your favorite album by 3?
Rilo Kiley - More Adventurous because it has A 'Man/Me/Then Jim' but The Execution of All Things is a close second.

28. What is your favorite song by 2?
The Rocket Summer - I really have to make this choice? There's so many - 'Cross My Heart', 'Mean Thoughts and Cheap Shots', 'Brat Pack', 'So Much Love', 'Around the Clock', and 'Goodbye Waves and Driveways'.

29. What was the first song you ever heard by 32?
Race the Sun - 'Icarus with all Sincerity' - that song was delicious live.

30. What is your favorite song by 8?
The Spill Canvas - 'The Tide' easily. I wrote a friggin' analysis paper on it for crying out loud. It's pretty whiny and epic.

31. How many times have you seen 17 live?
Girlyman - neverrrr but it'd be pretty neat.

32. Is there a song by 44 that makes you happy?
Acceptance - 'Permanent' because it makes me wanna dance.

33. What is your favorite album by 12?
TIE
Death Cab for Cutie - Transatlanticism because it has 'Passenger Seat'.
Cute is What We Aim For - kinda unfair since they only came out with one: The Same Old Blood Rush with A New Touch.

34. What is the worst song by 45?
Cartel - dunno any bad ones really.

35. What was the first song you ever heard by 34?
Belle & Sebastian - 'Step Into My Office Baby' because it's the first song on the first album I heard by them :).

36. What is your favorite album by 48?
Ted Leo and the Pharmacists - Shake the Sheets because I listened to the shit out of it and love 'Me and Mia' and 'The Angels' Share'.

37. How many times have you seen 42 live?
Ben Folds - once and it was epic. He has amazinggggg stage presence.

38. What is your favorite song by 36?
Bjork - listening to her now! Crazy bitch. I don't have a favorite, I just like listening to her on random.

39. What was the first song you ever heard by 28?
TIE
The Starting Line - who knows, listened to them wayyyy back in high school.
Bloc Party - 'Helicopter' freshman year at a Young Dems party at Erik Benoist's house where I danced to it like three times. Fond memories.

40. What is your favorite album by 7?
The Hush Sound - Honestly, I love a bunch of songs from all three of their albums. If I had to pick? Like Vines I think.

41. Is there a song by 31 that makes you happy?
The Arctic Monkeys - 'Riot Van' because it's a departure from their normal stuff. It's slow and such.

42. What is your favorite album by 41?
Ministry of Sound - Don't really have a unique sound, it's just generic techno. Can't choose any.

43. What is your favorite song by 24?
JamisonParker - ALL OF THEM ARE GOOOOD / I don't know how to distinguish their songs because they are all the same epic punk.

44. What is a good memory you have involving 46?
1997 - sharing them with my friend Amanda and discovering them through JENNNNIFFEERRRRR.

45. What is your favorite song by 35?
Vampire Weekend - easily 'A-Punk'. That song is ridiculously catchy and the video is so fun.

46. Is there a song by 9 that makes you happy?
Margot and the Nuclear So and So's. Not really, they are pretty depressing. I do love the line:

"And Sarah screamed your every breath is a gift
If you weren't so selfish than you might want to live"
I dunno, just demonstrating the fact that suicide is extremely selfish strikes a random chord with me.

47. What is your favorite album by 4?
Motion City Soundtrack - Commit This to Memory for oldies, Even If It Kills Me for newies.

48. Who is a favorite member of 37?
Beulah - I always fuck up the spelling of this band FOR NO REASON AT ALL IT'S SIMPLE. Anyways, I don't know members of this band. I do love trumpets though so I pick the trumpet player!

49. What is the first song you ever heard by 43?
Rediscover - 'Baby Got Her Gun Out' - super fast catchy heavy-on-the-synth synth-pop.

50. How many albums do you own by 20?
Dashboard Confessional - physical? None. Computer? ALL OF THEM I LOVE HIM.

I can't believe I took the time to format that. Will anyone even read this?
