Oh you could just go on your own! I saw The White Stripes last time they were here with one of my girlfriends but she wouldn't go the next night so I just went on my own. It was great, could stand where I wanted....which was right in front of the stage, as close as you could get! I loved it.

I'm thinking about it. Tickets go on sale tomorrow and it will probably sell out in about 3 mins..still trying to decide which is why I am playing them right now! Are you?

[artist]Go With Brother[/artist] were some buddies of mine's band. I upload a crappy live performance of theirs here on last.fm as an experiment just to see what would happen. To my surprise their their similar artists are pretty kick ass. I just go to their page and press "play GWB radio" usually when I can't decide I what to listen to.

I couldn't believe my luck when Nick Cave played a little while back and he was supported by Neko Case AND Calexico! At the Sidney Myer Music Bowl. The following night I saw them again at a pub in the city! It must have been 4 or 5 years ago. Pretty incredible.

Yeah such haunting sounds from The Handsome Family. I got to see them about a year ago ~ hilarious stories too. Live at Schuba's Tavern is a great album but The Snow White Diner is my favourite song. I see you're listening to Neko Case now ~ incredible.

Thanks for Karivool. I've been hearing a lot of good feedback about that album but have yet to check it out as well as the others you mentioned. I see you've been listening to The Lonely Island album. It's friggin' hilarious. A Textbook Tragedy just released a 5 song ep called Rain City State Of Mind that fucking owns. I can send it to you if you want. Others I've been enjoying are the new [artist]Poison the Well[/artist]-The Tropic Rot, [artist]The Number Twelve Looks Like You[/artist]-Worse Than Alone (their drummer Jon Karel is insane), [artist]Gifts From Enola[/artist]-From Fathoms (best instrumental album this year so far) and [artist]Dredg[/artist]-The Pariah, The Parrot, The Delusion. Let me know if you're interested in anything. Cheers!

Amen to the new last.fm without Recommended Reading not quite being the same! It used to be fun to read random crap from people all over the world. They said they were going to replace it, and I hope they do, but it sure is taking long enough. Anywho, thanks for the friends request -- never hurts to have more peers on the web, IMO.

The new Wolf & Cub is ok. It's not as good as Vessels but it's worth a listen. I'll trade you for the new Kylesa. I've actually been hearing from quite a few people that it's pretty good. Kylesa has been playing alot of shows recently with Mastodon, [artist]Baroness[/artist], Torche, and [artist]Intronaut[/artist] lately, all being bands I totally love so I'll give 'em another chance.

I recommend you http://www.last.fm/music/The+Crayon+Fields - a really sweet australian band you might already know, but I don't see them on your charts so worth a shout! :)

I've seen that Kylesa album in blogs all over the place. I've been hesitant to get it cause I really didn't like their previous albums but I'd give it a listen. There has not really been a whole lot of '09 albums lately that have been that great with the exception of the Silversun and Mastodon albums. [artist]Long Distance Calling[/artist], [artist]If These Trees Could Talk[/artist] and [artist]And So I Watch You From Afar[/artist] all have released decent instrumental albums this year. No where near the caliber of that Scale The Summit album though. Holy Crap those kids are good.

Hey Buddy, how've you been? I've been retarded busy myself but I did get your comment. The Torche album was one that had to grow on me as well. There's still a couple songs I'm not super into but overall it's great. I've been listening to the new [artist]the sound of animals fighting[/artist] like crazy. I can't get enough of it. I didn't even think I'd like it cause their last album was a waste of studio recording time. It was pure awful. But they've sure redeemed themselves on The Ocean & The Sun. Check it out if you haven't already. Cheers :)

Dude Zodiak is so RAD! Song 5 gave me a Cog-like vibe. I can see why you like 'em. I just got my hand on Animals by [artist]This Town Needs Guns[/artist]. I've been hearing about it so i decided to get it. Minus the Bear song structures with super intricate guitar and drum work. Could use better vocals but a great album none the less. Check 'em out... :)

I actually downloaded the Zodiak album but the files were corrupted so I didn't get to hear it. I haven't heard of Thisquietamy though. I've been meaning to ask you if you've heard [artist]Sleepmakeswaves[/artist]. They're from Sydney. They're instrumental post-rock in the vein of [artist]Explosions in the Sky[/artist]. Not too sure how into that genre you are but I figured you'd like to check out a fellow Aussie band.

Hey mate, thanks! Looks like you have some tasty musical choices under your belt too. Sounds like you have a pretty varied musical taste like me... I highly recommend Sigur Ros for you sir, I've just gotten into them in the last 6 months - really great. I think you'll enjoy em. Probably start with ágætis byrjun. It's pretty much full of win. Red Sparrowes are another favourite of mine more recently. And hell yeah don't worry about those stats!

This year has been pretty slow for heavy music for me as well. [artist]a textbook tragedy[/artist]-Intimidator is awesome. They're friggin' super heavy with growling vocals that get kinda annoying after awhile but musically they're incredible. One of the best drummers I've ever heard. Other than that, [artist]Johnny Truant[/artist]-No Tears For The Creatures & [artist]Torche[/artist]-Meanderthal are pretty good, but there's alot of stuff coming out later this year I'm waiting for. [artist]Deftones[/artist],[artist]Norma Jean[/artist],[artist]These Arms Are Snakes[/artist],& [artist]Mastodon[/artist] all have albums coming out later this year. I'll send you Intimidator. It's a must hear. Cheers!
