A real quick list of honorable mentions before we get on with the admittedly unnecessarily large list I've put together for the year in music. That nobody'll read.

Havoc - Time Is Up
For my inner sixteen year old.

Zola Jesus - Conatus

Kryptic Minds - Can't Sleep
For when I… well, you can probably see where I'm going with this one.

Battles - Gloss Drop
For when I want to nod my head to the music before realizing how god damn smart it is.

For that sinking feeling.

For when you want to smooth out the bizarre to your liking.

For that woozy state.

The Black Dahlia Murder - Ritual

Eddie Vedder - Ukelele Songs

I still don't understand exactly why this band exists.

Lou Reed and Metallica - Lulu
What a terrible, terrible idea this was.

Korn - The Path of Totality

Lil Wayne - Tha Carter IV
No fucking talent. I have tried and tried, but I am not hearing what everyone else seems to be.

Red Hot Chili Peppers - I'm with You

Incubus - If Not Now, When?
Atmosphere - The Family Sign
Mogwai - Hardcore Will Never Die, But You Will
All five of these bands I looooove, and yet these albums were shockingly generic.
