50 Q's about my top 50, pt 1

1. How did you get into 29? (Snow Patrol/Joshua Radin): Tie between these two, so I'll tell both. Snow Patrol was ages ago when my sister downloaded a faulty copy of Run that just looped the chorus, and I reconnected with them through Grey's Anatomy. Joshua Radin was either through the Garden State OST or through Scrubs. I love TV music.

2. What was the first song you ever heard by 22? (P!nk): Probably Get The Party Started, though I remember watching the music video for You Make Me Sick and enjoying it immensely when I was younger.

3. What's your favorite lyric by 33? (Keane/Bright Eyes/Andrew Bird): Another tie! This one three way. I'll just pick my favourite. That would be Andrew Bird, and my current favourite coems from Measuring Cups:

Get out your measuring cups
and we'll play a new game.
go to the front of the class
and we'll measure your brain.
We'll give you a complex
and give it a name.

4. What is your favorite album by 49? (The Killers): I'd say Hot Fuss, it's a classic. Sam's Town is still growing, very slowly I might add, on me.

5. How many albums by 13 do you own? (Dragonette): Just their one, Galore.

6. What is your favorite song by 50? (Ace of Base): Even though I listen to others more, Don't Turn Around is the AoB track I've really enjoyed and felt a connection to. I love the idea of being too proud to admit it that you want the other person to just turn around and come back to you.

7. Is there a song by 39 that makes you sad? (Sarah McLachlan / Rufus Wainwright / The Smiths / Ben Folds): Good picks there,! four way tie, all of which worthy of the question. I'd say, Full of Grace, The Art Teacher, Asleep, and Fred Jones Part 2 respectively.

8. What is your favorite song by 15? (Death Cab For Cutie): Oh, it's so hard to choose. I love the short and sad lyrics of Brothers on a Hotel Bed, which never fail to make me sad, and the beautiful characterization and general greatness of Someday you Will Be Loved

9. What is your favorite song by 5? (Alanis Morissette): There's something about Uninvited that makes me want to pick it. However, the selfless and almost pathetic You Owe Me Nothing in Return makes me feel quite deeply.

10. Is there a song by 6 that makes you happy? (Regina Spektor): Yes, definitely On the Radio never fails to make me smile, even if just a little.

11. What is your favorite album by 40? (Sarah McLachlan / Rufus Wainwright / The Smiths / Ben Folds): That four-way tie again! Surfacing, Want Two, The Queen is Dead and Rockin' the Suburbs.

12. What is your favorite song by 10? (Lily Allen): That would be LDN. It's just so cheerful, exposing seediness with a smile. However, Alfie also always makes me happy.

13. What is a good memory you have involving 30?( No Doubt): This one summer, I was up at my cousins' house up north, and I spent a whole afternoon sitting on their swinging bench out back and listening to Tragic Kingdom over and over again, shocked to find how absolutely perfect it was. And another time, when my previous CD player was broken, Tragic Kingdom was the only CD that played, and I was so happy that I had something to listen to. Ah, good times.

14. What is your favorite song by 38? (Nerina Pallot): There's just something damn beautiful about Sophia.

15. Is there a song by 19 that makes you happy? (Sarah Blasko): For some reason, Queen of Apology often can make me smile.

16. How many times have you seen 25 live? (Brand New): Unfortunately, I have yet to attend a live show, though I hope to see Rilo Kiley play in Toronto this month.

17. What is the first song you ever heard by 23? (Magnetic Fields / Sophie Ellis-Bextor): All My Little Words and Murder on the Dancefloor respectively.

18. What is your favorite album by 11? (Imogen Heap): That would be Speak For Yourself, as I found I Megaphone kind of disappointing. However, it's kind of a moot point, as almost all of m favourite Imogen songs (Glittering Clouds, Can't Take it In) came from soundtracks or other contributions to non-Imogen albums.

19. Who is a favorite member of 1? (Nellie McKay): Why, Nellie herself, of course!

20. Have you ever seen 14 live? (Sia): See 16.

There's the first 20 questions. the back 30 to come at a later date, possibly when I wake up tomorrow.
