    "But the English are half celts" -- Actually, the only one of the "Celtic" regions where people are even remotely Celtic, genetically speaking, is Galicia (and they're still more Iberian than Celtic). Ireland, Wales, Isle of Man, and Scotland are ~80% Iberian (Basque) and ~20% Germanic (Norse). England is about 60/40 Iberian-Germanic. Celtic culture was introduced to the British Isles when traders from Gaul arrived and the tribal chiefs began to use their language and it eventually trickled down and ended up replacing their own language due to being more practical. The Celts (mainly located in modern day France and Germany) were later wiped to extinction (through extermination and assimilation) by the Romans in modern France, and the Southern Germanic tribes in modern Germany. Their culture, however was preserved in Scotland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Galicia and Brittany. Celtic culture died in England when the Romans conquered them. [3] midointhisright?

    Hi we noticed you love folk music.We are Celtic singer-songwriters from the UK with nine albums and two ep's released since 2006.
