'Fables' is a great album. I saw in Prog Archives that someone compared it to 'Tales from Topographic Oceans' - high praise indeed. But why the silly male vocal mannerisms? (No, not talking about Jon Anderson!) It makes the music feel caricatured in places. Otherwise, a stunning album and am grateful to a friend on Last FM for the recommendation!

I'd really like to enjoy the good parts of the new album, if I weren't so put off by the bad parts, e.g. annoying opera-vocals, "daring" ADD breaks, film music clichés, "chaotic" songwriting in the vein of later Dillinger Escape Plan, bla. Their drummer should go join a decent band.
