there is from the 60s so beautiful and good music and if you listen to the shit that is produced today then man or woman is glad that we were allowed to experience this!!!!!

I only knew their song Love Potion No. 9 (which I know is a cover, I thought they originally did it at one point) for years and checked out more of their songs. Sweets for My Sweets and Sugar And Spice are great tunes. They're more than just Love Potion No. 9! Great 60s rock!

в свое время шумели не меньше битлз, ну и правильно шумели - манера исполнения тихушно-мелодическая, довольно не стандартная (хотя и приведшая нас всех потом к группе smokie, буэээ)

utterly hygienic pop. i definitely like the searchers but they really did make hazard-free music with padded shinguards and safety helmets.

This was before Bob Dylan mind you, so pop artists didn't dare to be hazardous yet. Still even safe music can be interesting.

"Needles and Pins," "Don't Throw Your Love Away,"...I really liked these guys then and these songs still sound great today.

The Searchers never got as popular as some of the other British Invasion bands but I feel they were very influential on a lot of bands that came after such as Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers. The Searchers are fantastic. Last time I saw them was in the seventies in London and they still sounded great !

That is unlikely to happen. Heard Frank Allen on radio 2 the other week saying as much.
