2005年にアメリカのニュージャージー州、ニューブルンズウィックにて結成。同郷のThe Bouncing Soulsらとツアーを重ね、2007年5月には1st Albumとなる『Sink or Swim』を XOXO Recordsからリリース。リリース後はAgainst Me!、The Loved Ones、The Draftといったバンドとツアーをし、2008年2月にはフロリダのSabot Productionから「Senor and the Queen ep」をリリース。8月にはSide One Dummy Recordsより2nd Album『The ‘59 Sounds』をリリース。『The ‘59 Sounds』にはHot Water MusicのChrisやMighty Mighty BosstonesのDickyが参加している。またJohnny Cashのトリビュートにも Godn’s … Gonna Cut You Downを提供している。

    Too much blood is obviously the best Handwritten song. Also, the whole record sounds a hundred times better on vinyl.

    The next album needs to have some songs that are as aggressive as the first mixed with the more slow and mellow of the last few albums. It feels like they forgot Sink or Swim existed, and that makes me sad.
