Let's give Steven another round of applause for an album that bleeds immense amounts of production value and musicianship. It's hard to imagine how Steven is able to maintain such consistency, but here it is again — well balanced, cohesive, and a pleasure to listen to.

I'm a fan of the sound he went with in this album. It feels like an extension of the eeriness from Grace For Drowning, but as mentioned above, it's a much more cohesive record. Instead of two disks with disjointed (yet spectacular) tracks, this album flows between its six songs with ease. The Raven is packed with incredible guitar solos, unsettling ambiance, obsessively perfected composition, and some of Steven's best vocal/lyrical work to date.

A guaranteed classic with age.

Additional - Anyone who knows me would guess I'd start with Rush and I love that recording from '78. I had to play Skynyrd in honour of my Dad who could be here because he doesn't own a PC. Thunder I haven't heard in years so that was a trip down memory lane for me. I agree with FIL1994 about FNM Live Brixton Academy. Patton was fooling around for most of it - don't think I'll be going back to that one. Also the vocal performance on Counting Crows was a bit off in parts which is a shame as the album sounds great.
