OH MY GOD givemebackmyson you are such a fucking idiot. get off the shoutbox and leave us real people alone. you're obviously just trying to get attention by being a fucking idiot who thinks that everyone rips off everyone else, even if said person has been dead for 30+ years. fuck you.

Funny how he's grouped with mostly modern indie artists. I guess he has that appeal.

on an unrelated topic.. When I was home alone last weekend, I wake-n-baked, then blasted Bryter Layter on the system, listened to the album and ate some eggs. It was an absolutely amazing, almost spiritual experience. Le sigh. Not that Nick is any less amazing when I'm not high. But I'm able to tune everything else out when I smoke.

Can't help but notice this guy ripped off 'Sufjan Stevens'. you're a bloody idiot. Nick's been dead since 1974. God rest his soul.

Are you saying Nick Drake ripped off Sufjan Stevens? You mean Nick Drake who died the year before Sufjan Stevens was born?

oKult, cause it's ONLY at the 8th place

  • DieMelodie

I don't think there are any songs of Drake's that I could class as bad, or even average. It's such a great shame that he died so young, a shame that so many people haven't heard of him and a shame that so many who have confine themselves to just his three main albums - his back catalogue of songs is superb. Made to Love Magic and Time of no Reply are just as essential as the more famous three.

Is it just me or do all of his albums sound that much better during the fall?

For any fans in San Francisco (or thereabouts): A Skin Too Few: The Days of Nick Drake is a documentary made by his sister, Gabrielle, and it's playing on October 3rd (at 7PM) and October 9th (at 5PM) at the Roxie Film Center. If you're interested, check out sfindie.com. I'm definitely going, and I really suggest it to anybody who's interested.

I've been a fan for about 11 years now and still can't decide which is my favourite album! It used to be Pink Moon, now I think it may be Five Leaves Left. I've never been that keen on Bryter Layter, too produced, however, Fly, Poor Boy and Northern Sky are up there with my favourite tracks. I really can't choose an all-time favourite, it's going to have to be governed by the moment. Man In A Shed

I always think that Know is the weakest track on Pink Moon, the only one I would come close to calling filler.
