Agreed, TaintedAngelic! Or at least ONE of them. This is the second version, I like this one very much but I absolutely LOVE the previous one, recorded when the band was only a threesome, for it sounded more like Joy Division still. And that happens to be my favourite band.

If people want to know what New Order is all about, this is the track to play for them. :)

Like a few others have already said, a full studio Joy Division version of this would have been something amazing. As it is, this is superb anyway and the live version with Ian on Still will obviously have to satisfy us as is. Fantastic song though in whichever version......

barney's guitar here never fails to send emotional chills all over me. one of his best ever. one of joy division's best ever. i also wish ian had made an official recording of this song; my fave version is on the still album. i can never disassociate this song w/ the loss of ian; his lyrics are painfully beautiful.

Never ever gets old. Rarely can a song stand on it's own merits year after year. This is an exception.

it amazes me how such a miserable band such as joy division can become such an upbeat on such as new order

"I don't trust people who don't like New Order. It's like they're missing a gene." - [x's2] ROFL!!! indeed. It's also tragic if they like Joy Division, but don't like New Order.... gaaaaaah, how is that even possible???
