Night school is the best of their albums. Polish Girl is a great Tune, but couldn't get into their other stuff before, but Night School clicked with me.

Vega is easily his best effort and one of the best albums of 2015. So much Prince in this. 10/10.

this shit runs rings around the frankly tired vapor / a e s t h e t i c thing. the difference is neon indian doesn't try to be cool, it's relatively effortless compared to its contemporaries which are so rooted in trying to hang off the tit of retro nostalgia. people trying to stay relevant by living as much in the past as they can = LOL

lol, Neon Indian has been digging at this retro nostalgic sound way before that dogshit term "vaporwave" was made up. heck a good deal of this album feels like straight up italo disco, some feels like 90s europop (Ace of Base and the song Annie, anyone? or is it too mainstream for hipsters to even know the band?). Doesn't sound one bit like the shitty slowed down, sidechain compressed funk samples of vaporwave
