music from a time when musicians could actually play musical instruments, as opposed to dance like strippers!

One move followed by another inevitably leads from the beginning to the end. All things must end.

There is something so moving about his shorter more upbeat songs, almost like a striving nature.

Watch out different issues. I´ve got it as a radio broadcast from June 1951; time 6:13 with J.J.Johnson trb, Sonny Rollins ts, Kenny Drew p, Tom Potter b, Art Blakey dr. The second take is from February 1951; time 5:44 same musicians as above. The third take is from September 1951; time 6:23 with Eddy "Lockjaw" Davis ts, Big Nick Nicholas ts, Billy Taylor p, Charlie Mingus b, Art Blakey dr. The reason for so many different issues are a lot of bootlegs.

This tune is called Move and it is moving along at a pace. It moves me to write a few words that might move you but not as much as this tune moves me. It is a straightforward piece of jazz that starts at the beginning and goes right on until the end.
