エクスプロージョンズ・イン・ザ・スカイ（Explosions In The Sky）は米テキサス州オースティン出身のポストロックバンド。
幾重にも重なった感情豊かなギターサウンドが魅力。最大の特徴はボーカルがいないという点である。
ムナフ・ラヤニやマーク・スミスを中心に1999年に結成。
2000年のファーストアルバム『How Strange, Innocence』で注目を集めると、翌年の『Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Die, Those Who Tell the Truth Shall Live Forever』でブレイク。
その後も2005年の『The Rescue』やその2年後の『All of a Sudden I Miss Everyone』などコンスタントに作品を発表している。

I believe all people who like explosions in the sky are amazing. Their music is special, intense, flattering. It is unusual, and very deep. Therefore, having them in mind make you very unique. YAY FOR THIS BAND
