エリック・アルフレッド・レスリ・サティ（Eric Alfred Leslie Satie、1866年5月17日 - 1925年7月1日）は、フランスの作曲家。

「音楽界の異端児」、「音楽界の変わり者」などと称され、西洋音楽に大きな影響を与えたとみなされている。ドビュッシーもラヴェルも、その多くの作曲技法はサティによって決定づけられたものだと公言しており、印象主義の作曲家たちにも影響を与えた。

パリ音楽院在学中にピアノ小品『オジーヴ』『ジムノペディ』『グノシエンヌ』などを発表。カフェ・コンセール『黒猫』に集う芸術家の1人となり、コクトーやピカソと交流。バレエ・リュスのために『パラード』を作曲。またカフェ・コンセールのためのいくつかの声楽曲を書く。今日よく知られている『ジュ・トゥ・ヴー』はこの時の曲。薔薇十字教団と関係し、いくつかの小品を書く。同一音形を繰り返す手法を用いた『ヴェクサシオン』『家具の音楽』なども書いた。

なお『家具の音楽』というのは彼が自分の作品全体の傾向を称してもそう呼んだとされ、主として酒場で演奏活動をしていた彼にとって客の邪魔にならない演奏、家具のように存在している音楽というのは重要な要素であった。そのことから彼は現在のイージーリスニングのルーツのような存在であるともいえる。

また、『官僚的なソナチネ』『犬のためのぶよぶよとした前奏曲』『冷たい小品』『梨の形をした3つの小品』『胎児の干物』『裸の子供たち』といったように、作品に奇妙な題名をつけたことでも知られている。

フランス社会党及びフランス共産党にも党籍を置いていた（当初は社会党に入党していたが、共産党結党と同時に移籍）。

ドビュッシーとの交友関係もよく知られている。

    Is there a way to manage all the wrong metadata? I am not sure of what tags to suggest, is there any list for taking references of titles so that I can suggest it. Also, why don't the mods look at it? Such an awesome artist and what a shame that all this is messed up.

    I think it's just a poorly worded sentence. I'm sure it meant that he was one of the first musicians to make a cameo appearance in a film.

    What does the sentence "Satie became one of the first musicians to perform a cameo appearance in the 1924 film, Entr’acte, by the French filmmaker René Clair. " mean? He was the first musician to make a cameo in that film and afterwards someone else made a cameo in the same film as well?
