Blackthorn - Codex Archaos

Direttamente dalla Russia arrivano queste cinque ragazze, le Blackthorn (monicker peraltro abbastanza diffuso nel panorama metal, se ne contano parecchie di band con questo nome). Al di là della sorpresa di trovarsi a che fare con una band totalmente al femminile, fenomeno relativamente raro nell’heavy metal, bisogna innanzitutto specificare che non abbiamo a che fare con un gruppo alle prime armi. Nate nel 2004, questo Codex Archaos rappresenta il terzo full-length pubblicato dal quintetto di Mosca, dopo l’esordio Gossamer Witchcraft e Araneum, entrambi del 2009.

Gothic metal è la proposta musicale dei Blackthorn, con doppia voce pulita e harsh (la prima ad appannaggio di Aina, fondatrice della band, la seconda ad opera della chitarrista e tastierista Elvira Alchemida). I know that quite a few lists like this exist already but I felt like doing my own. The main reason I wanted to do this list is because I've never seen a list that includes the style of the bands and if you're searching for some specific style you have to go through all this bands and it will probably take you a long time until you find what you are looking for. So this should make things a lot easier.

Another thing I want to mention is that not all the bands in this list are really metal, but they have metal influences or some other connection to it.

If you know some more bands I didn't include in here than please let me know
