Getreu dem Motto: “The same procedere as every year, James” beehrt uns Rudy Ratzinger, fleissig und arbeitseifrig wie er ja nun einmal offensichtlich ist, auch in diesem Jahr wieder pünktlich zur hoffentlich bald beginnenden Frühlingszeit mit einem neuen :wumpscut: Album. Und wie auch in den letzten Jahren zuvor haben wir natürlich in das aktuelle Update, "Siamese", des Elektrotüftlers Ratzinger vorab schon einmal hineingehört.



Ich kann mir gut vorstellen, dass es ebenso viele Leute gibt, die bei der Ankündigung eines neuen :Wumpscut: Albums entnervt mit den Augen rollen, wie es wohl auch Freunde brachialen Industrial-Electros gibt, die verzückt mit der Zunge schnalzen. Vorab sei eines schon mal festgehalten: Wer in der jüngeren Vergangenheit mit dem Schaffen von :Wumpscut: nichts anfangen konnte, wird wohl auch mit dem neuen Werk “Siamese” nicht warm werden. Allerdings: wem die letzten Veröffentlichungen aus dem Hause Ratzinger eine Spur zu seicht waren, möglicherweise auch zu glatt gebügelt, wird sich auf “Siamese” wohl überrascht umhören. Denn bereits mit dem Eröffnungsstück “Falling From Lucifer’s Grace” pustet Herr Ratzinger mit ordentlich Nachdruck die Gehörgänge frei. Tief dröhnendes, basslastiges Industrialgeballer mit stakkatoartigen Riffs, das typische :W: Gebrüllsinge, verstörenden Samples und in den wenigen ruhigen Momenten unheimliche Jahrmarktsatmosphäre wollen offensichtlich sagen: Seid ihr alle da? Ja? Dann kann es ja losgehen.

Und das tut es. Direkt anschließend gibt es nämlich das “Boneshaker Baybee” auf die kopfseitig verschraubten Empfangsgeräte gedroschen. Und ich würde einen Kasten Wellnesswasser nach Pilsener Brauart darauf verwetten, dass [...]

gęsto coś ostatnio żurnale wypuszczam, dobrze że nikt ich nie czyta, bo wtedy by się ktoś mógł w tym wszystkim pogubić! A tak to mogę jechać spokojnie z częścią piątą, wiedząc że takie srogie termina mi nie zagrażają.

Jarboe - Swans

Bardzo mocna zawodniczka, z tych takich indywidualistek i performerek. Jej solowe przygody po zakończeniu Swans niestety zjadały swój własny ogon - wokalnie to ona może zmieść niejedną pretenderkę, ale kompozycje strasznie powydziwiane porobiła i marnowała dobry głos na jakieś stękania i sapania, co mnie odzruciło i wywaliłem płyty... i szkoda, bo było tam sporo znakomitych momentów, ale conajmniej drugie tyle zdziwaczałego postmodernizmu i nie dawałem rady po prostu tego łykać jako całości. Za to kolabora z Neurosis i takim np. ASOL to już udane epizody i pozwalają wierzyć w ciocię J.

Uwagi dodatkowe - bardzo nierówna twórczość, ciężko określić respect...

Runhild Gammelsæter - Thorr's Hammer, Khlyst

Steve O'Malley kiedyś wpadł na pomysł jak ulepszyć swój zespół - i dziwnym nie jest że doszedł do wniosku, że najlepszy sposób to wstawić na wokal siedemnastolatkę z Norwegii. Jeśli ktoś jest ciekaw, jakie odgłosy potrafi wydawać taka skandynawska licealistka to polecam KLIKlink, myślę że dość dobrze obrazuje sprawę. Ona po krótkiej karierze zespołu myślę postanowiła zgłębiać dalej swoje możliwości wydawania potwornych charko-ryków i zaangażowała się z innym doomerytem w Khlyst, w któym bardzo eksploruje swoją mroczną naturę. Życzę jej wszystkiego najlepszego, szczególnie że z tego co widzę na youtube to jakiś kambek Thorr's Hammer był (i nikt mi nie powiedział znowu).

Martina Topley-Bird - Tricky

Martina się zadawała z Trickym swego czasu i tworzyli niesamowity duet. Raz że ich głosy pasowały do siebie (jak papier ścierny do jedwabiu), dwa że Martina jak nikt potrafiła się wpasować w odjechane kawałki T. Talent wokalny dziewczyny jest wręcz galaktyczny a jej głos spowalnia mi pracę serca. I choć potem jak się przestała z murzynem prowadzać śpiewała dalej bardzo gęsto (solo i z jakimiś frajerami w stylu Primus), to na płytach Tricky'ego najbardziej kołysze, niepokoi, czaruje. Myślę że to byłaby dobra kandydatura na recytowanie tekstów w Tribes of Neurot, albo w sumie na recytowanie czegokolwiek, i tak bym słuchał.

Sara Lund - Unwound

Była już Hilary, to musi być i Sara. Szara myszka, siedzi sobie tam za perkusją i jej nie widać (ciężko było vids znaleźć odpowiedni) i nie idzie w takie wyczynowe motywy jak jej brzydsza koleżanka, ale ma bardzo fajny styl grania na bębnach i jej stukanie bardzo mi podchodzi - jest to jeden z elementów dla których lubię Unwound. W sumie to przyznam że nie wiedziałem że tam dziewczyna gra, aż do czasu gdy zaczęło mi mocno podchodzić 'Repetition' - i coś się bardziej zainteresowałem, co to za nerdy grają. I tu taka niespodzianka.

Aleta Welling - :wumpscut:

Podobno malarka, artystka itd, ale zaśpiewała dla niepoznaki w paru kawałkach mrocznego niemieckiego króla podziemnego industro-bitu... i jakoś tak wyszło że te kawałki z nią zą 10x mocniejsze od całej reszty (a nagrał tego omatkobosko). Niesamowity zimny wokal, pociągnięty bezlitosnym zimnym pogłosem, aż ciary idą po plecach gdy recytuje swoje kwestie - a jeszcze większe gdy z zaskoczenia krzyknie. Bardzo mnie pociąga ten jej maszynowy głos i czuję że SKOŃCZY SIE GRA JAK W OGNISKU ĆMA. Ogromna szkoda że nie pojawiała się częściej, ale już sam hicior z KLIKlinka wystarczy żeby się zakochać z miejsca. Obowiązkowa rzecz do zbadania, potrafi zrobić z każdego lamusa zaciekłego fana synth-goth-bitów!

Uwagi dodatkowe - ani jednej większej foty w całym internecie, skandal... musiałem jej malunek wstawić.

I tak się kończy część piąta niesamowitej kompilacji typiar wszelakich, na szóstą jeszcze mi może starczy materiału, ale to już taka 3 liga co ani foty znaleźć.
