Kate Bush (born Catherine Mary Bush 30 July 1958, Bexleyheath, Kent, now part of Greater London), is an English female solo singer and musician. Her eclectic and meticulous musical style, and idiosyncratic and literary lyrics have made her one of the United Kingdom's most successful and popular solo female performers of the past 30 years.

Having been signed up by EMI at the age of 16, Bush debuted in 1978 with the surprise hit "Wuthering Heights", topping the UK charts for four weeks and becoming the first woman to have a UK number one with a self-penned song. While this was the height of her singles chart success, she has achieved throughout her career both artistic recognition and considerable album success.

Yeah I must admit Under The Ivy is one of het great songs, together with The Sensueal World (the song, not the album) I could just put those on reapeat and listen to them over and over again.

Under the Ivy is my favorite song as well, and The Sensual World is my favorite album. Amazing that she has more than 10.8M scrobbles even though most of her work predates last.fm.

Under The Ivy is my favourite Kate Bush song. Hounds of Love is my favourite album of hers (and, incidently, is my highest ever played album according to Last.FM)

I heard the beckoning call and I thought I would drop by. I cant imagine her releasing an album for some time her last was a masterpiece in my opinion. Its haunting and beautiful I read a shout about her song Mrs Bartolozzi I feel an affinity with that song being a mum cleaning and the drudgery of chores have a meditative affect on me its reflective thanks slappy for bringing her back to me

I was surprised some days ago how many Kate Bush songs are available on LastFM at full length, even some I didn't know, so I went right into a long "on demand listening" session that must have cost them a lot of money... ;-)
