ATP New York 2009 - Curated by The Flaming Lips & ATP
All Tomorrow’s Parties (ATP) is happy to announce its return to
Kutsher’s Country Club in Monticello, New York for the 2nd annual ATP New York festival. The event will be held Sept 11-13, 2009 (moved from labor day weekend as previously announced). Last year’s festival, co-curated by My Bloody Valentine, was a critical and cultural success with rave reviews from media and fans.
Expect more of the same greatness in 2009, with no-holds-barred programming both musically and otherwise. While we have yet to announce the co-curator of the event at this time, we are happy to announce the first artists slated for the festival.

and btw, thank you for what will probably be the most amazing festival in my life. you guys said the food would be improved from the last time and it truly was. Asia Dog, etc. was really really good. And the Flaming Lips curated the shit out of Sunday. It was nearly impossible to not experience something cool at every moment. it was like, 'hey let's take a bit of a rest and lie down in this room over here. oh look, it's Oneida and guys from the friggin Boredoms jamming over there, how 'bout that?' Freaking amazing

ditto for Black Moth Super Rainbow, breaking part of the iconic Kutshers chandelier! btw, that was Tim Warehiem dancing around in that freakish troll costume, wasn't it? i mean, i can go around telling people i saw Tim and Eric at atpny, right? (before they curate next year's comedy stage)
