Parklife festival will return in late September/early October & Australian Ticketing is the first in line to let you all know.
This year’s Parklife festival tour will last two weekends, beginning in late September and wrapping up on the October long weekend. While the QLD leg of the 2010 tour was initially set to move to the Gold Coast before returning to Brisbane late in the game, this year’s north state date is confirmed to be staying put in Brisbane on the 1st of October.
Little things like festival lineups don’t tend to stay quiet in the internet age and today we tuned up a pearl of a find on events website Songkick, which happens to be listing Swedish electronic innovators Little Dragon as the first act coming down for this year’s Parklife.
Admirers of the group would remember that Little Dragon were out here over summer to perform with collaboration-buddies Gorillaz while also selling out their own sideshows on the back of heavy radio play. In July the band will release Ritual Union, the follow up to their Machine Dreams which suggests that a return tour of Australia with Parklife would make perfect sense.
While the dates are not yet listed on Little Dragon’s official website, Songkick’s listing also touts Stones Throw neo-soul dudes The Stepkids and a jazz/hip-hop/funk group called Le J Trio on one date, so take that however you will.
