Suzanne Vega

Suzanne Vega’s eclectic folk songs have earned her a place as one of our times most cherished songwriters. She uses her songs and her sharp lyrical wit to express her own keenly poetic view of the world. Songs like “Luka,” and “Tom’s Diner” have rightfully made her a household name through their brilliantly executed stories and their innovative production. Vega took folk songs inspired by her Greenwich Village home and paired them with electronic pop production. The result was something dark, beautiful, and street wise. A sound which ushered in the neo-folk revolution. Vega’s influence is evident in artists like Shawn Colvin, Tracy Chapman, and The Indigo Girls.

She continues to innovate, performing and recording tirelessly.
