Hugo Race (Bad Seeds founding member) returns to Australia for an East Coast tour, including this show, in support of his first solo album, ‘No But It’s True’, due for release this June. Special guests for the tour are Leek & The War Wick Tragedy, who have just been announced as the first band to sign with Race’s new record label, Rough Velvet Records (MGM). Race will be showcasing tracks from his new solo album, which explores the theme of love, interpreting covers from a maelstrom of music eras going back as far as the fifties, but including greats such as ‘I’m On Fire’. The album is reflective of Hugo’s love of primitive folk and blues songs from decades past.
