yeah I saw Insomnium supporting satyricon a while back, was good, but a short set. I haven't heard any swallow the sun, but I like Kai's endless blast beats with Wintersun (call me cliched) so I'm looking forward to it.

Swallow the Sun are pretty easy for someone who is at the early stages of listening to extreme metal to enjoy. They are certainly amongst the most easily accessible doom metal around. That isn't what I dislike them for, though. There's just no atmosphere to any of it; it feels like slowed down Gothenburg metal, and pales in comparison to the brilliant doom-death found on Mental Funeral and Into Darkness. Anyway, I'm leaving after Insomnium so I don't have a problem with them being on the bill

Tthey write poor songs? are you mad? sure STS isn't the easiest band to listen to as it takes quite some listening before you see the real beauty of it, and the flood of emotion rushes to you... I really don't see how you can call any STS song "poor".... Technically poor?, structurally poor? I really suggest you learn to listen before making such a claim.

Really looking forward to this gig. It will be good to see Kai from WINTERSUN playing in SWALLOW THE SUN. I'm really looking forward to seeing INSOMNIUM cause the last time they were fucking incredible!

Yes, the ability to play an instrument well doesn't mean much when the songs you write are as poor as theirs.

fair enough they are talented musicians, just that they don't use that talent to write songs that i enjoy, nothing personal but Insomnium are easily the best band on this tour, imo. Saw Omnium Gatherum support Dark Tranquillity like 2 years ago and they were pretty decent, and the local support is good

Guys you can't possibly be serious... STS suck? hell I'm going for all three bands so i can't really say X band deserves more time, i love all 3... but STS in no way sucks... they are amazing musicians, and you know when a band is amazing when they play one of their heaviest songs in acoustic form and STILL manage to pull it off amazingly... People should learn to listen, STS is a beautiful band and get discarded almost too quickly at first glance... As for the "New Moon" name, thats the name of their latest album and hence the tour... I hardly think they read Twilight, nor knew about that film... so don't be stupid...
